Modeste Messou (Coach Mo) is a passionate soccer player first. He has been playing since kid.
He started playing in the street back home in Ivory Coast, then in high school. He played all levels of high school soccer championship, local, regional and national in the program call OISSU. He also spent two years in the academy. He really enjoyed It. He immigrated in Canada and quickly become a volunteer coach in a community league with EMSA for three years before Him moving in the club. He still club coach for U12.
As a coach in community league here in Edmonton in 2016, first He noticed that a lot of young players love soccer, but because sometime, they don't feel comfortable technically, they quite soccer. Second, when He started coaching at the club level, He also observed that many kids were in bunches for the same reason, technical challenges. Third, as the player with EDSA, coach Mo before his game have watched some U18 games and noticed that Edmonton is full of talented young players and He wonder why they are not professional. Finally, He also noticed that with the number of practices per week and league games that have to be prepared, club coach do not have much time to focus on individual player development.
For all of those reasons, He decided to build this program to focus on individual soccer player development. In this program, we build fully comfortable technical soccer player. We develop their talent for those that have already skills and we teach those that are completely news how to do things. We teach them like pro and prepare them for academies, university scholarship and professional career. We teach how to have fun and enjoy soccer while learning.
